Hey Dodgeballers!!
I know many of you are as excited as us to get back at it with another fantastic CDL season! We have taken some solid steps in making sure that this season will have more videos, more photos, more write-ups and most importantly, more party! It looks to be our best season both on and off the courts.
Here are some of the Details for Season 9.
– CDL runs on Wednesday Nights with 7:30pm or 8:00pm starts, playing for an hour and a half each night.
– The season will be 1 exhibition / rules night, 12 weeks of league play, and 1 day of playoffs on a Saturday following the end of the season.
– The Season will start in Mid-October, will run until a short Christmas Break, and will resume in January.
– The CDL plays with 6 people on the court per game. More players and subs are highly encouraged!
– The CDL is a Co-Ed league, and teams must start the game with at least 2 girls on the court. Teams may borrow girls, but are not allowed to borrow guys.
– A team plays a minimum of 15 games in a night.
– The CDL is an adult only league. Players must be 19 to play.
– There are multiple tiers for teams of all skill levels.
We at the CDL are dedicated to building a community, and having as much fun off the courts as on them! Your registration also includes:
– CDL EXTRAVAGANZA! This is just a HUGE league party where some food, drinks, and prizes are provided by the league. For those who have been before, you know of its legendary status… For those who are new, prepare to enjoy!
– CDL ALL-STAR GAME! This festival is a ton of fun and open to everybody! All-stars will be selected to play in the All-star game, but this also includes skill competitions that are open to everybody such as hardest thrower, best dodger, showdown championship and much much more!
– CDL PLAYOFF AFTER PARTY! No better way to wind down a season then a chance to celebrate with your team after a gruelling playoffs! Always a good party to finish off the season!
There will also be a MANDATORY Captain’s Meeting prior to the start of the season. Date is TBA and will be posted shortly.
The cost of CDL Season 9 is $425. We accept cheques only. Please make all cheques payable to the Vancouver Dodgeball League Society.
Along with your cheque, please give us the Captains name, phone number, email address, and team name if you have one. Please also include the name, phone number and email of one alternate captain.
Cheques can be mailed to or dropped off at 709 Ebert Ave, Coquitlam BC, V3J 7P8.
Space is limited by gym availability, and teams are registered on a first come first serve basis. If you want to play, get your registration in ASAP!
