CDL SUMMER LEAGUE!!!
Hey dodgers. The CDL is proud to present our first ever SUMMER LEAGUE (hooray!!)
Here is the essential info:
Part 1: Registration
- Registration is now open for players who played in the CDL last season and to the general public on Friday June 27
- All players will register individually and be drafted onto teams
- Registration will cost $40 per player
- Each player must register for her/himself by emailing me at ddomingo@cdldodgeball.ca *Please note that this is the ONLY way we will be accepting registration*
- There are only 56 available spots, so we are expecting a quick sellout
- In your email please include your name, gender, and team that you played on last season (we will be checking the waiver to ensure that you are a returning player if you are registering early)
- Payment will be cash only and must be brought to the first week of play.
Part 2: League Info
- We will play every Wednesday starting on July 16 and will run for 5 weeks. ending on August 13
- We are only running one gym. Carver Christian High School in Burnaby (so… BDL summer league?)
- Play will run from 7:30-9:30 every week. There will be big games galore!!
- 8 Players will be assigned as captains by the league
- Week one will be Exhibition/Scouting Week. The captains will meet and draft the teams which will be announced later that night.
- Weeks 2-4 will be regular season play
- Week 5 will be playoffs
- Trade Deadline will occur at 7:30 PM on week 3 (just before the second day of regulation play)
- The CDL’s weekly after party will return
- Week 5’s after party will be this league’s extravaganza/Summery Awards (name subject to change)
